For almost 10 years, Abdul Rasheed Doad has been showing everyday people how to do real first aid for the real world, using effective street-smart techniques used everyday by first responders and paramedics.

Abdul Rasheed Doad is the founder and director of Singapore First Aid Training Centre, one of the fastest growing first aid school in Singapore and the region, training up to 10,000 participants each year in lifesaving skills.

Abdul Rasheed Doad is also the author of the book "My True Hero: Real First Aid for the Real World", the only locally published first aid guide that features picture illustrations, myth busters, actual case studies and real life tips. He has also developed the "first ever in the world" series of first aider development programs such as My True Hero® and My True Hero® II, My True Hero® Extreme Teams, My True Hero® Natural Leadership Program and My True Hero® Ultimate Trainer Certification.

Abdul Rasheed Doad began his career as an Emergency Paramedic with the local emergency ambulance service during which he handled thousands of real life emergency cases. However, the biggest lesson for him came not as a paramedic, but as a patient himself in a near-death road traffic accident while at work. He realised then that even the most highly trained first aider may not be able to perform when placed under the intense pressure of an emergency situation.

It was at this point that he discovered a critical relationship between mental and emotional attitudes and the ability to perform effectively in an emergency, which puts most people in a natural, default mode that stops them from stepping forward to help. His most profound discovery was that this default mode can be changed, thus allowing everyday people to make that transition from knowing what to do, to actually doing it.

With his extensive background and his ability to connect and inspire his students, Abdul Rasheed Doad develops one of the most effective and sought after first aid training programs in Singapore. His programs have impacted the lives of thousands of people from all over the world, turning ordinary people into extraordinary lifesavers.
